The Role
The people affected by conflict in Ukraine find their situation compounded by a crisis of communication and technology. Vulnerable groups in particular face challenges - older people may not be tech-savvy, while marginalized groups may speak different languages, or require different forms and channels of communication. These groups may struggle to access life-saving information and to have the ability to share their needs and challenges. CLEAR Global is committed to providing practical solutions to inform more effective two-way communication between those affected by the crisis and those aiming to support them. Providing training to response actors in such areas as humanitarian interpreting, accountability to affected populations (AAP), and communicating with communities (CWC) is a key part of our strategy.
The Training Coordinator - Ukraine Response, will oversee all training components of CLEAR Global’s Ukraine response strategy across Ukraine, Poland, Romania and Moldova; this will include maintaining a team or roster of trainers on staff/on demand; liaising with response actors on training needs; and ensuring high-quality delivery of training packages. The Coordinator will be responsible for supporting trainers in each country in the creation, adaptation, implementation and evaluation of CLEAR Global’s training packages. The Training Coordinator will also be the focal point for training with all partners, including INGOs and local NGOs, governments and the UN.
Responsibilities
Please note that these roles and responsibilities are approximate and may change over time.
Qualifications
The Training Coordinator should be a creative self-starter with a strong sense of initiative, experienced in conducting or overseeing training in a humanitarian context on relevant topics, and enthusiastic about the importance of increasing access to knowledge through language. The right candidate is an energetic team player who agrees with CLEAR Global’s basic beliefs and values and who can work virtually with team members based throughout the world.
